Things are different! Our beloved leaders and mentors Trish (Tialynn Frostfire) and Stef (Umberto Fingolfin) the founders of the Allied Traders guild [ATG] have stepped down from there leader ship potions and joined a different guild in our Alliance leavening Neil (Shanar Crimsomwolf) as leader. I am part of our new officer staff (Fox Rizing) as well as Johnny Death, Bushido Prince, and Whiled Bill.
I hope every one who decided to stay with us will enjoy watching us learn how to run a guild and pleas feel free to give any suggestions or ideals in the suggestion tab in the left Navigation box. So as our first order of business we will try and get new members to join our guild and build the guild up a little. If you find any one who is willing or interested in joining PM there name on this web site or in game to Neil or our guild Officers. For all those that stayed with us thank you, and for those that are new welcome, and I hope you all enjoy being apart of the [ATG]. Thank you and welcome.
[Ed: Actually, I'm not a founder :). Stef]

Guild Meeting
There will be a guild meeting this Sunday (17th). 2000 UK Time, 1500 Eastern, 1200 Pacific. This is an important meeting so everyone is asked to please attend.
By kind permission of TC Fish our map section has been greatly increased. We now host complete maps of Tyria and Cantha, in a variety of formats suitable for both general reference and for all you explorers out there. You can access all these maps by clicking on the "Guild Wars Maps" link in the navigation on the left. Thanks TC!
In other news, the good people at Guild Wars Guru have put together a kind of FAQ for the common three number errors (such as the dreaded 007) that Guildwars sometimes throws. You can access this useful information by clicking here and a permanent link has been placed into the web links area of the site.
Yes, it's true. Correspondents for the ATG news service have hacked into the orbital GPS satellite system and been able to acquire some startling shots of the world from orbit.
This evidence clearly shows that the area currently codenamed "Nightfall" is actually an extension of our well known Tyrian continent. "Nightfall" appears to extend south and east of the Crystal Desert. This would be consistent with the presence of the Elonians in the familiar Ascension area. Clearly they simply travelled from their homelands to the south, where we now know Elonia itself to be found.
In honour of this new intelligence, a new area of the site has been opened which will contain useful map information - starting with this new world map. Click the link on the left and see the truth!!
Many Bothans died ... to bring us this information*
We know everyone in the guild has their little pet projects for characters, bits and pieces they are working on. Perhaps it's a title, perhaps someone is working for 15k armour. It might be a skill or set of skills to capture, or a difficult mission someone is stuck on.
We're all here to help each other and take real pleasure in working together to assist each individual member to achieve their goals.
There's just one small problem - We don't know what you need!!
We know some of you aren't a big fan of websites and forums, but just this once, please help us to help you, by tellings how we can assist. A simple list of what you need will mean we can set up guild events which will be tailored to making sure everyone gets a leg up on their quest.
Remember, the ATG is all about being a Guild. By working together, we get things done. Nobody need feel left out or reliant on pugs, henchies, or soloing.
Please post your goals in this thread and we'll make sure you get what you need.
On another note...
WE'RE NOT WORTHY
All bow down before the awesomeness that is our very own Soul Reaver Rose... Having achieved an honourable mention in the recent "Design A Weapon" contest, it seems that his artwork has found it's way into the game. Though the design was submitted as sword artwork, ANet have based the new Salient Daggers on Soul Reaver's original design.
As you'll have seen, there's been a recent update mostly for the double faction points weekend and to allow PvP characters to go to Jade Quarry and Fort Aspenwood.
This may not interest most of us, so it's just passed by without comment, but all please note that a subtle skill change has been slipped in here.
Edge of Extinction now only works on mobs which are 90% or less health. This may seem small, but in fact it's huge. EoE has been used to affect uninjured mobs, this will no longer work. This is in one way, I guess, a good thing, as it will stop the EoE bombs used in AB, but is going to radically reduce it's usefulness as a PvE mass damage tool. So, please think carefully before using a precious skill slot. Personally, I kind of think it nerfs the skill into uselessness - but I've been wrong before.
A new In-Game Cinematic has been released for Nightfall, showing the new Dervish and Paragon classes in their native homeland. It's a large 73MB file, but I'm sure worth the effort, though sadly I'll have to wait until I get home from work before I can check it out for myself.
Get the new cinematic, along with a number of others from the Guildwars Website.
A quite interesting article has been published on the main guildwars site on the subject of damage. Whilst it doesn't get into the number crunching, there are some interesting things to learn. For example, it never occured to me that damage such as chaos, light & dark is neither physical, nor elemental, so ignores both types of protection.
Fudge 07/02/2007 14:16 I Hate ow they messed with all the avatars
FOX 09/09/2006 06:05 Guild wars is on the fritz! I hope they fix it.

Tromador 25/08/2006 16:43 Now a spectularly good film. This little girl grew up to be, yes, a total babe... "If you don't help me I'll die tonight. I can feel it. And I don't wanna die tonight."
Tromador 25/08/2006 16:37 YupYup.. more biscuits for Fox. Interestingly enough, there is a Fox's biscuits factory about 5 mins from my office. It's true!!
FOX 25/08/2006 13:30 Oh I got it One flew over the cookos nest. man that was a great perfprmance.
Tromador 24/08/2006 17:16 It was Jack Nicholson, but I'm going to insist on the title of the film this time.
Tromador 22/08/2006 01:00 So, now to a film made in the same year my sister was born. "I bet in one week, I can put a bug so far up her ass, she don't know whether to shit or wind her wristwatch."
